Jim was commissioned by the aquarium to create a stunning high resolution image for a new building at the aquarium featuring a life-size image of a California Kelp Forest reproduced in glass panels. The building is scheduled to open April 16th. Jim will also have a large print exhibit at the aquarium April 16th-May 30th.

Jim Hellemn creates high resolution underwater “landscapes” that capture the spectacular colors of coral reefs and underwater environments around the world, using specialized lighting and multiple images to capture wide views of marine life in stunning detail and full spectrum light. His life-size image of Bloody Bay Wall in the Cayman Islands (”Portrait of a Coral Reef”, National Geographic Magazine Oct 2001) is a 2 gigapixel photo composite of over 300 individual frames that can be displayed at life size - 20 ft high and over 65 ft wide. His work will also on be display in the "Creatures of Light" exhibit at the Field Museum in Chicago, opening March 2013.

There is a Singapore Air A380 flight out of LAX that connects with Silk Air to Monado and seems to be the best choice. Other airlines do not transfer baggage to Silk and the charge for the flight makes up for any other flights savings.

Apples and Bananas---When purchasing any travel plans make sure you are aware of the inclusions
as competing plans often are not equal. Does the trip include all airfares -- meals, what meals, visas, park admission costs, fuel surcharge, decompression chamber fee, taxes, mandatory service charges, land transfers, credit card charge fees. Don't hesitate to ask for information.The small print Reservations are firm with deposits. Minimum deposit $500. The large trips require a $1,000. deposit.
All trips need full payment 90 days in advance. As a rule all deposits are refundable until 60 days.
After that we will try to fill your spot to reduce the amount of penalty. Trip insurance is available and
recommended.The travel agency booking the trip will charge $25,00 per ticket. For last minute bookings(last 30 days) there is a $50.00 rush fee. Please be aware that due to changing airfare prices, schedules and world conditions quoted prices may change.
All trips are priced double occupancy but in some cases there is opportunity for a single supplement at
additional charge
On all diving trips each diver must have a SCUBA certification card by a major instruction company.
On all trips smoking is not allowed or seriously restricted. Good physical conditioning with no serious medical limitations is required on all trips. It is advised and in some instances required that you have DAN Diving Insurance. Youngsters under 18 are not invited on some trips.
